Billing & Pricing

This page explains everything you need to know about our pricing structure, billing procedures, invoicing, VAT/taxes, currency options, and how to handle pricing discrepancies.

1. Pricing Structure

All product prices displayed on tooaleta.eu are in EUR and include any applicable EU VAT (for B2C customers in the EU). Prices are set by MARO GmbH and are subject to change without prior notice. We strive to ensure accuracy, but in case of pricing errors, please see Section 7.

2. Value Added Tax (VAT) & Duties

• EU Private Customers: 20% VAT is included in the displayed prices, per Austrian VAT Act and EU VAT Directive (Council Directive 2006/112/EC).
• EU Business Customers: 0% VAT applies under the reverse charge mechanism (Art. 194 VAT Directive). You must provide a valid VAT ID.
• Non‑EU Customers: 0% VAT. Export documentation provided. Local import duties and taxes may apply upon entry and are the customer's responsibility.

3. Invoicing & Payment Terms

3.1. Invoice Issuance

After your order is confirmed and payment is received (or authorized for card payments), we issue a VAT-compliant invoice. You can download it from your account under "My Orders" or it will be attached to the shipping confirmation email.

3.2. Payment Terms

• Immediate payment for credit/debit cards and PayPal (if offered).
• Upon invoice: for approved business customers, payment is due within 14 days of invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Cash on Delivery: payment collected by courier upon delivery.

4. Currency & Exchange Rates

Our default currency is EUR. If you pay with a foreign card or currency, your bank’s exchange rate applies. We do not mark up exchange rates. Orders placed via Klarna or external gateways may display prices in other currencies; final EUR amount is determined at the time of transaction.

5. Discounts & Promotional Codes

Discount codes and promotional offers may be applied at checkout. Terms and conditions for each promotion are explicit in the offer. Discounts cannot be retroactively applied to completed orders.

6. Credit Notes & Adjustments

If an order is partially refunded (e.g., due to returns or price adjustments), we will issue a credit note that offsets future purchases or is applied as a refund via the original payment method, per Art. 90 of the Austrian VAT Act.

7. Pricing Errors & Corrections

Despite our efforts, pricing errors may occur. In such cases, MARO GmbH reserves the right to:

1. Cancel the order and refund any payment received, or
2. Contact you to confirm if you wish to proceed at the correct price.

8. Billing Discrepancies

If you notice any discrepancy on your invoice (incorrect item, quantity, price, or VAT), contact billing@tooaleta.eu within 30 days. We will investigate and issue a corrected invoice or credit note promptly.

9. EU Legal Compliance

Our billing practices comply with:

• EU VAT Directive (2006/112/EC)
• Austrian VAT Act (Umsatzsteuergesetz 1994)
• Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) for pre‑contractual price transparency
